In a statement dated December 1, 2024, and signed by the Director General of Public Relations, Brigadier General E. Aggrey-Quashie, GAF reaffirmed its dedication to peaceful elections. The statement clarified that the military’s role will be limited to standby support, with the Ghana Police Service (GPS) taking the lead in election security. Military deployment will occur only at the request of the GPS, ensuring the process remains orderly and peaceful. ]]></description>
