Fire Outbreak Guts Yinka Ayefele’s Music House in Ibadan, Disrupting Fresh FM Broadcast

A devastating fire broke out late Friday evening at the Music House, a prominent business complex in Ibadan, Oyo State, owned by renowned gospel singer Yinka Ayefele.
According to The Guardian, the inferno, which started around 7:30 pm, threw the building into chaos. The complex hosts several businesses, including Ayefele’s Merry Makers’ Band, Tiwantiwa Radio, Blast FM, and the popular Fresh FM, which was forced off-air as the blaze disrupted live programming.
Eyewitness Samuel Ibikunle, who first raised the alarm, called for urgent assistance.
“Fresh FM is currently on fire! We urgently need the Fire Service to respond immediately. Please spread the word and alert the nearest station,” he pleaded.
The Oyo State Fire Service confirmed that firefighters had swiftly arrived at the scene to contain the flames. Its Director, Rev. Akinyemi Akinyinka, assured the public that efforts were ongoing to bring the situation under control.
As of press time, the cause of the fire and the extent of damage remain unclear, but investigations are expected to follow.
