Seyi Makinde Supports Yinka Ayefele With SUV After Fire Outbreak

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has extended a hand of support to popular gospel singer and broadcaster, Yinka Ayefele, following the recent fire incident at his Ibadan-based radio station, Fresh FM 105.9.

On Tuesday, the governor presented Ayefele with a brand-new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) as a show of solidarity after the blaze, which engulfed parts of the Music House last Friday.

The Music House, which houses Fresh FM, is a prominent media hub in Ibadan and has played a major role in broadcasting across the South-West. The fire incident drew widespread sympathy, with fans and associates praising Ayefele’s resilience.

Governor Makinde described the gesture as part of his administration’s commitment to supporting creativity, entrepreneurship, and resilience in Oyo State, while assuring that steps would be taken to improve safety around media and entertainment establishments.

Ayefele, who became wheelchair-bound after a 1997 accident but has continued to inspire millions with his music and philanthropy, expressed gratitude to the governor, noting that the gift was a sign of hope after a difficult setback.
