A Recent Setback: Altercation with Security Operatives

In late July 2025, National Security operatives demolished a warehouse belonging to McDan Group on Spintex Road, Accra. During the operation, McKorley was reportedly assaulted and detained by armed personnel, along with a JoyNews journalist, Carlos Calony, who was covering the incident.

Eyewitness reports indicate that McKorley and others were forced to kneel at gunpoint before being taken to the National Security Headquarters. The reasons behind the demolition are still unclear but are suspected to involve a protracted land dispute. The incident has drawn public criticism and calls for investigations into the conduct of the security personnel involved.
