Krobo Odumasi Court Throws Out Chieftaincy Legitimacy Case Against Boso-Gua Omanhene
The Krobo Odumasi Circuit Court has dismissed a chieftaincy dispute challenging Omanhene Okotwasuo Nyarkoh Yeboah III’s legitimacy. The highlife musician-turned-chief, known as Sloopy Mike Gyamfi, calls for unity and development in Boso-Gua.

The Krobo Odumasi Circuit Court on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, dismissed a case challenging the legitimacy of Omanhene Okotwasuo Nyarkoh Yeboah III, the traditional ruler of the Boso-Gua Traditional Area in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The case was filed by Nana Oseadeyoo Adu Kwaku II, the Gyaasihene and a member of the Judicial Committee of the Traditional Council, who argued that the Omanhene’s installation was illegitimate.
Court Upholds Omanhene’s Authority
The court, after hearing the evidence and arguments, ruled in favor of Omanhene Okotwasuo Nyarkoh Yeboah III, who is also widely known in the entertainment industry as Sloopy Mike Gyamfi, a celebrated highlife musician. The ruling effectively ends a protracted chieftaincy dispute that has hindered peace and development in the Boso-Gua area for years.
Omanhene Speaks After Victory
In an exclusive interview, the Omanhene expressed his gratitude and called for reconciliation.
"Seriously, this litigation has socially affected the good people of my area for some years now because of the lack of development during this period. But thank God and our forefathers, this has come to an end," he said.
He lamented the resources that had been consumed by the legal battle:
"Much had been wasted during this period of litigation—our money, time, and resources. I don't wish the same for any community which is yearning for development," he added.
A Call for Unity and Progress
Now cleared of legal contestation, the Omanhene is urging all factions and residents to put the past behind them and focus on development.
"Let us come together as one people. The time has come to work for Boso-Gua’s future. We need roads, schools, health centers, and jobs for the youth. This victory belongs to the people," he declared.
Conclusion
The end of the chieftaincy litigation marks a pivotal moment for Boso-Gua. With peace restored, the Omanhene, known both in traditional and entertainment circles, is poised to spearhead initiatives that will bring growth and prosperity to the area.
