Eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke and flames around 9:00 p.m., prompting calls to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS). Firefighters arrived swiftly and managed to contain the blaze before it spread to nearby structures. Though property was lost, officials confirmed that no lives were endangered.
The GNFS has launched investigations to determine the cause of the fire. Preliminary suspicions point to possible electrical faults, but officials have not yet confirmed. Shop owners are cooperating with authorities to assess damages and provide information.
