US rapper French Montana has proposed to his fiancée, Dubai royal Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, with a dazzling engagement ring worth $1.1 million.

The 40-year-old star had the ring specially designed by celebrity jeweller Eric The Jeweller of Mavani & Co. The piece features an emerald-cut 11.53-carat diamond, graded E colour and VVS2 clarity, making it one of the most extravagant celebrity engagement rings of the year.

French and Sheikha Mahra, 31, who is the daughter of Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, became engaged in June but only went public with the news this week. Sheikh Mohammed, who also serves as Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, is one of the world’s wealthiest royals, with estimates of his net worth ranging from $4 billion in 2019 to $14 billion in 2025.

Sheikha Mahra has also carved her own path as a businesswoman. Last year, she launched her luxury perfume brand, Mahra M1, debuting with a fragrance titled Divorce—a bold reference to her cheating ex-husband.

The royal engagement has sparked widespread media attention, blending the worlds of hip-hop glamour and Middle Eastern royalty in one of the year’s most high-profile celebrity unions.
