No Matter How Long It Takes, Justice Will Be Served - Bawumia After Visiting Hawa Koomson
Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that, perpetrators who attacked Hawa Koomson during the Ablekuma North rerun elections will be brought to book.

Former Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reiterated that, perpetrators of the attack on Mavis Hawa Koomson will be brought to book.
According to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, no matter how long it takes, Justice will be served. The former Vice President said this after he paid a visit to Madam Hawa Koomson after the attack on her during the rerun of the 19 polling stations in the Ablekuma North constituency on Friday 11th July 2025.
In a viral video, Madam Hawa Koomson could be seen surrounded by a number of thugs suspected to be from the NDC pouncing on her. According to reports, the youth demanded that, she live the polling station.
This was after she visited the Methodist polling centre as part of her monitoring of the rerun of the 19 polling stations in the Ablekuma North constituency. She was reportedly sent to the Hospital for medical care after the attack.
The New Patriotic Party has condemned the attack and call on state security agencies to investigate the attack and punish those involved.
