Pep Guardiola, the celebrated manager of Manchester City Football Club, has been conferred with an honorary degree by The University of Manchester in recognition of his profound contributions to the city—both through his sporting excellence and community involvement over the past nine years.
The prestigious award was presented during a ceremony on Monday, attended by university officials, civic leaders, and distinguished guests.
Since his arrival in 2016, Guardiola has revolutionised Manchester City, guiding the club to multiple Premier League titles, domestic cup victories, and the club’s first-ever UEFA Champions League triumph, securing its place among the world’s elite football teams.
