Pogba Set For Football Return With Monaco Move

Paul Pogba, the former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder, is close to reaching an agreement with Monaco. He is looking to return to football after serving a doping suspension.

The 32-year-old World Cup winner appears to be heading back to France to join the Ligue 1 club. Talks are focused on a possible two-year contract, and Monaco hopes to finalize the deal soon.

The negotiations have been ongoing for several weeks, with Pogba training ahead of the upcoming season as he prepares to play again.

Pogba was temporarily suspended after a random drug test following Juventus's first match of the 2023-24 season against Udinese. He was later handed a four-year ban, which was reduced to 18 months after he appealed in October.

In November, he mutually agreed to end his contract with Juventus. Since March, he has been free to return to playing.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed that Pogba unintentionally used DHEA, a substance that increases testosterone, and banned by anti-doping agencies.

However, it also clarified that DHEA only affects performance in women.
