Wontumi Visits Bawumia After His Release
Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has paid a paid a visit to former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at his office.

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has visited the former Vice President and flagbearer of the party for the 2024 general elections Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at his office on Tuesday afternoon.
In what appears to be a a visit to thank Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his support during his detention by the Economic and organized Crime Office (EOCO) Chairman Wontumi had a discussion with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at his office on Tuesday afternoon a day after release by EOCO after executing his bail condition set by EOCO.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who visited Chairman Wontumi at both the offices of EOCO and NIB during his detention made attempts to provide sureties for the release of Chairman Wontumi.

During the detention of Wontumi, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia also called on EOCO to respect the rights of Chairman Wontumi despite his political affiliation.
Chairman Wontumi was finally released on Monday after meeting the 50 million Cedis bail requirement set by officials of EOCO.
Chairman Wontumi also visited the headquarters of the New Patriotic Party where he met the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong and other top party executives to thank them for their unflinching support during his detention at EOCO.
