Astronomer HR Chief Resigns After Concert Kiss Cam Scandal with CEO

On July 24, 2025, Astronomer announced the resignation of Kristin Cabot, Chief People Officer, effective immediately. This follows an incident on July 16, 2025, where Cabot and former CEO Andy Byron were captured on a “kiss cam” during a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium near Boston, prompting significant public attention. A company spokesperson confirmed to The Post, “Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer. She has resigned.” TMZ first reported her departure.

The widely circulated footage showed Cabot and Byron, both married to other individuals, attempting to shield their faces from the stadium’s jumbotron. The incident led to a social media uproar, after which both were placed on administrative leave pending a formal investigation by Astronomer into the alleged misconduct. Byron resigned from his position over the subsequent weekend.

Cabot, who joined Astronomer in November 2024 as head of human resources, held a key leadership role in the New York-based AI firm. The company has not yet announced a replacement for either position.
