Ballon d’Or 2025: Mbappé, Yamal, and Dembélé Lead Star-Studded Nominee List Ahead of Paris Showdown

France Football, the body behind the prestigious Ballon d’Or award, has officially unveiled the shortlist of nominees for the 2025 edition.
The lineup, curated by top journalists from across the globe, was shared via the organization’s social media channels on Thursday.
Among the standout names are Ousmane Dembélé (Paris Saint-Germain), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain), and Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal).
Also making the cut are Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund), and Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan).
This year’s race is expected to be tightly contested, with Lamine Yamal, Dembélé, and Mbappé emerging as early frontrunners.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 22 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
