FUTA Civil Engineer's Dream Crushed: JAMB Says No Record of His Admission

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board stated it did not approve the admission of Basola Jamiu Owodunni, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
The board said his records were not found in its Central Admissions Processing System. JAMB made this clear in a statement on Sunday, signed by its Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin. This came after Basola posted on social media claiming the board declared his university admission invalid seven years after he began his studies.
Basola said he took the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in 2017 and was admitted to FUTA in 2018. He studied civil engineering and graduated in 2024 with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.41. He explained that the problem started after his final clearance, when he was told by the student affairs office that his mobilization for the National Youth Service Corps had been rejected.
