District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa in the Central Region Hon Isaac Yawson has stated that Ghanaians do not regret voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as many citizens are already experiencing positive changes in their lives. The DCE made this statement during the distribution of livelihood equipment to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the district.

Items presented included 23 deep freezers, a cassava milling machine, an industrial sewing machine, a metal container, hair dryers, and mixing blowers. The initiative forms part of government efforts to empower vulnerable groups and improve their economic independence.

In addition to the support for persons with disabilities, the DCE also extended assistance to beneficiaries of the National Youth Apprenticeship Programme by providing them with essential working tools. Addressing both the PWDs and youth apprentices, the DCE encouraged them to make good use of the equipment to improve their livelihoods and secure a better future.

Mr. Abieku Essien, the Central Regional Coordinator for the National Youth Apprenticeship Programme, urged parents and leaders of the apprentices to help protect and maintain the equipment provided. He also advised beneficiaries to support the vision of President John Dramani Mahama (JDM), noting that the programme is aimed at empowering the youth through skills development and employment.

Mr. Kofi Kwakye, the Head of the Social Welfare Department in the district, cautioned beneficiaries, especially persons with disabilities, against selling the deep freezers they received.

He encouraged them to work hard and use the equipment productively to achieve long-term financial security.
