JoyNews Journalist Picked Up By National Security Operatives
Some National Security operatives have picked up a reporter of the Multimedia media group when he was reporting on the demolition of building owned by business man MCDan.
A journalist with the Multimedia, group Carlos Calony has been picked up by operatives of the National security when he was reporting live on the demolition of a building owned by business man MCDan at Spintex.
The journalist was at the scene with his camera man reporting on the demolition when the National security operatives stormed the venue ordered them to stop the live report.
An eye witness who was narrating how the demolition started was assaulted by the security operatives when he was giving an eyewitness account.
According to the camera man, Carlos Calony was taken to Blue gate, a National security facility, as he (the camera man) was on his way to the JoyNews office with the driver.
The demolition, which started yesterday is been carried out by the National security on the orders of the Ghana Airport Company.
According to reports, the reason for the demolition is due to the high nature of the building which may obstruct the free flow of air traffic by airlines towards the airport.
