President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to a cleaner Ghana by donating essential sanitation equipment to the BuzStopBoys during the relaunch of the National Sanitation Day on Saturday.

In a post shared on social media, Mahama revealed that his donation included 200 wheelbarrows, 300 shovels, 300 brooms, 300 pairs of gloves, and a supply of standing brushes to support the group’s community-driven initiatives.

He praised the BuzStopBoys for their tireless efforts in promoting sanitation across the country, describing their work as an example for all Ghanaians.

“This contribution aims to bolster their commendable efforts in championing sanitation initiatives across the country. Their dedication to fostering a cleaner environment must be exemplified,” Mahama stated.

Highlighting the importance of the National Sanitation Day, Mahama urged citizens to see the campaign as more than a symbolic event.

“The National Sanitation Day is more than just an event; it is a renewed call to action for every Ghanaian to take ownership of our environment. Let us all commit to maintaining clean communities, not just on designated days, but every day,” he said.

The initiative, first introduced under his administration in 2014, is being repositioned to inspire greater citizen participation in environmental cleanliness. Mahama concluded his message with a rallying call for collective responsibility, stressing that sustained action would help build cleaner and healthier communities nationwide.
