2025/2026 KNUST Admissions: Guide for Fee Payment, Student Accommodation and Pending Admissions

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) officially released admissions for undergraduate programs for the 2025/2026 academic year, published on the university’s portal on December 12, 2025.
Regular admissions have been completed. The University has announced the activation of parallel and fee-paying options on its admission portal for applicants who could not secure places in the regular programs, as well as programmes with vacancies. This initiative provides a second chance for qualified candidates to pursue their academics at the university. Students still awaiting admissions are advised to log into their portals to view available admission options
All applicants admitted are required to pay their school fees into the KNUST Main Fees Collection Account through any of the following banks:
- GCB Bank
- Ecobank
- Republic Bank
- UBA
- CAL Bank
- Consolidated Bank Ghana
- Absa Bank
- Stanbic Bank
- Standard Chartered Bank
- GT Bank
- Fidelity Bank
- Zenith Bank
- Ghana Post
Academic fees and residential fees must be paid separately. Applicants must pay academic fees first to become eligible to book accommodation. Residential fees are paid subsequently after hall reservation.
How to Book Accommodation on Campus
KNUST has outlined a step-by-step process for securing accommodation:
Pay Academic Fees: Make full payment of academic fees. Access to the accommodation portal is only granted after this step.
Log Into Portal: Return to the admission portal and select Accommodation Application.
Enter Credentials: Use your reference number and PIN to log in.
Make Reservation: Choose a hall of your choice and confirm.
Save Reservation Code: A unique reservation code will be generated — keep it safe.
Pay Residential Fees: Proceed to the bank to make full payment for accommodation.
Book Room: Log back into the portal, select Book a Room, and choose your preferred floor and room.
Download Documents: Print all accommodation documents and bring them to campus during reporting.
Newly admitted students must act quickly — pay academic fees first, secure accommodation through the portal, and prepare all necessary documents before arriving on campus. Students facing complications in any areas are to visit the University's Admission Help Desk on campus.
