No Student Left Behind: Ablakwa Expands SHS Support in North Tongu
Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has provided mattresses and chapel boxes to 2,207 newly admitted Senior High School students in his constituency.
The donation, which he announced on his official social media handles, is part of his broader commitment to remove financial barriers that often prevent young people from accessing secondary education.
“All my beloved 2,207 fresh North Tongu SHS students don't have to worry about buying mattresses and chop boxes — their MP has got them covered for FREE,” Ablakwa stated.
He also revealed that all five Senior High Schools in the constituency are currently benefiting from major infrastructural expansion projects. These include the construction of new, large-scale dining halls and dormitories to improve student welfare and learning conditions.
“Every barrier shall be removed; no one must drop out. The North Tongu tradition continues. For God and Country,” he added, emphasising his vision of ensuring equal access to education.
The initiative has been widely commended as a timely intervention, especially as families face rising costs of living. Constituents say it demonstrates the MP’s long-standing dedication to education and the empowerment of young people in North Tongu.
Ablakwa has consistently championed policies and projects aimed at strengthening education in his constituency, with this latest move reinforcing his message that no student should be left behind due to financial constraints.
