Adelabu: Nigerians Will Enjoy Uninterrupted Power Supply Before 2031

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to delivering stable and uninterrupted electricity across Nigeria before the end of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in 2031.

Speaking on Saturday, August 2, at the commissioning of the Kwaru 1X15 MVA 33/11KV Injection Substation in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, Adelabu described reliable power supply as a cornerstone of national development.

According to him, the Tinubu-led administration, through its Renewed Hope Agenda, is focused on transforming Nigeria’s power sector to drive economic growth, attract investment, and improve the quality of life for all citizens.

“Energy is not just a commodity—it is the backbone of industrialization, innovation, and job creation. Nigerians can be assured of the President’s unwavering determination to deliver full and uninterrupted electricity supply nationwide before the conclusion of his tenure,” Adelabu said.

The newly commissioned substation is expected to significantly boost power distribution capacity in the Ikotun-Egbe axis, reduce outages, and enhance service delivery for residents and businesses in the area.
