Donald Trump fired back at Charlamagne Tha God, calling him a “racist sleazebag” on Truth Social after the media host suggested Trump harmed vulnerable communities and could be abandoned by the GOP if Epstein-linked info emerges.
Former President Donald Trump is once again making headlines for his sharp responses to media figures. This time, the target is Charlamagne Tha God, co-host of The Breakfast Club, who recently weighed in on Trump’s political standing and ties to controversial figures.
During a Fox News segment earlier this week, Charlamagne claimed that Trump’s presidency “hurt vulnerable communities” and suggested that damaging revelations especially any links to Jeffrey Epstein could ultimately force the Republican Party to distance itself from the former president.
In response, Trump took to his Truth Social platform, posting:
“Charlamagne Tha God (a ridiculous name!) is nothing more than a racist sleazebag who’s desperate for attention. My presidency did more for Black and minority communities than any president in decades.”
He further accused Charlamagne of “spreading lies to stay relevant” and defended his political record, citing initiatives like Opportunity Zones and criminal justice reform during his time in office.
Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, has not publicly responded to Trump’s comments as of this writing.
The tension comes amid renewed speculation that sealed Epstein court documents expected to be unsealed in upcoming legal proceedings could implicate high-profile individuals.
