CEO of Gold Empire Resources commends govt. for its swift action against illegal mining. 

The management of Gold Empire Resources lead by the CEO, Mr. Emmanuel Yirenkyi Antwi has today Monday, 12th December 2026 released a statement commending the government of Ghana and State Agencies for quick action against some unknown illegal miners who took over their Bonsu concession some days ago.

The statement signed by the management also called for thorough investigation and prosecution accordingly.

GOLD EMPIRE RESOURCES LTD. COMMENDS GOVERNMENT AND STATE AGENCIES FOR SWIFT ACTION AGAINST ILLEGAL MINING ON THE BONSU CONCESSION; CALLS FOR THOROUGH INVESTIGATIONS AND PROSECUTION

Gold Empire Resources Ltd. expresses its sincere appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Ghana for the prompt attention and decisive steps taken following our formal reports concerning illegal mining activities on our duly acquired Bonsu concession.

We further extend our gratitude to all relevant state institutions and agencies to whom we formally petitioned, and whose swift response and interventions have contributed significantly to halting these unlawful operations. We acknowledge and commend the professionalism and commitment demonstrated in protecting Ghana’s natural resources, maintaining public order, and upholding the rule of law.

Illegal mining remains a grave national concern, with severe consequences for the environment, water bodies, farmlands, local livelihoods, and legitimate investment. The recent actions taken to address the situation on the Bonsu concession are therefore commendable and should be sustained to prevent any recurrence.

While we recognize the progress made, Gold Empire Resources Ltd. respectfully calls for a thorough, impartial, and comprehensive investigation into the illegal mining activities on the Bonsu concession. In particular, we urge that investigations identify and address:

• the persons directly engaged in the illegal operations;

• the financiers and sponsors who facilitated the activities;

• any individuals or groups who provided access, protection, or logistical support;

We also respectfully request that all perpetrators be prosecuted in accordance with the laws of Ghana, to ensure accountability and to serve as a strong deterrent to others. A firm and consistent application of the law is essential to winning the fight against illegal mining and safeguarding the integrity of Ghana’s mining sector.

Gold Empire Resources Ltd. remains committed to responsible and lawful mining practices, environmental stewardship, and constructive engagement with host communities and state institutions. We stand ready to cooperate fully with ongoing enforcement and investigative efforts, including the provision of relevant information to support due process.
