Suspended Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkonoo is scheduled to address the media today on matters surrounding her suspension and other related issues.
According to reports, the suspended Chief Justice will address Ghanaians via the media at the Holiday Inn hotel in Accra at around 2:30pm today.
Even though, details are not available yet on the content of this highly anticipated address by Justice Torkonoo and it is believed that, she will be speaking about her suspension and her subsequent appearance before a committee set up to probe allegations of wrongdoing against her.
Justice Torkonoo was asked to step aside for investigations to be conducted on allegations made against her by different complainants who alleged various misconducts against her.
Justice Torkonoo through her lawyers filed some legal suits seeking to stop the process of probing her by the committee as she alleged various human rights abuses and other unfair treatment by the committee.
But, the Supreme Court dismissed the suits in a ruling paving way for the committee to begin its work.
