IDF Destroys Over 120 Iranian Missile Launchers, Hits 100 Military Sites in Isfahan
The Israeli military has destroyed over 120 Iranian missile launchers, including 20 last night. A major airstrike in central Iran targeted 100 sites in Isfahan using 50 fighter jets.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the destruction of more than 120 Iranian missile launchers since the start of hostilities last week, marking a significant blow to Iran’s offensive capabilities.
According to IDF spokesperson Effie Defrin, this figure represents roughly one-third of Iran’s total launcher inventory. Just last night, Israeli airstrikes neutralized over 20 launchers — many of which were minutes away from launching missiles at Israeli territory.
In a parallel operation, the Israeli Air Force conducted a massive wave of strikes on military infrastructure in central Iran, focusing on the city of Isfahan. Around 50 fighter jets were deployed in the coordinated attack, targeting approximately 100 sites. These included missile storage facilities, active launchers, and high-value command centers.
“The goal was to degrade Iran’s ability to continue launching attacks on Israeli civilians,” Defrin said, adding that the strikes were precise and intelligence-led.

Mounting Escalation and Strategic Implications
The Israeli strikes follow a week of intensifying conflict, triggered by a deadly missile barrage from Iran that killed five civilians in central Israel. Since then, both sides have escalated their actions, with Israel emphasizing a shift toward targeting Iran’s military infrastructure deep inside the country.
Isfahan, a central hub for Iranian military logistics and missile development, was a strategic choice. Analysts say the coordinated air assault marks one of the largest Israeli air operations in recent history.

Military experts believe the destruction of a third of Iran’s missile launchers could severely hinder its short-term strike capabilities, though Iran’s ability to rapidly rebuild remains a concern.
Israel’s Strategic Messaging
The IDF's public disclosure of the scale of these operations sends a strong message to Tehran and the international community. Israeli leaders have repeatedly stated that they will not tolerate missile attacks on civilian areas and will continue acting preemptively to neutralize threats.
“The strikes are a clear demonstration of our ability to operate anywhere, anytime, and defend our people,” said Defense Minister Israel Katz earlier today.

What’s Next?
While Israel has signaled its desire to degrade Iran’s offensive capabilities, officials also warn that the conflict is far from over. Iran has vowed to retaliate, and the risk of further escalation remains high.
Global powers have urged both nations to de-escalate, but so far, neither side appears ready to back down.
