Troops Neutralize Two Bandits, Recover Arms in Plateau State Operation

Troops of Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A have successfully neutralized two bandits and recovered weapons and ammunition during a coordinated ambush operation in the Nteng general area of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area, Plateau State.
The operation was launched following credible intelligence on the movement of suspected bandits within the region. According to security sources, the troops executed a well-planned ambush along the bandits’ suspected route at approximately 7:34 p.m. on Tuesday.
“Two of the bandits were neutralized during the engagement. The troops conducted a thorough exploitation of the area and recovered one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and 24 rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition,” the source revealed.
The recovered arms and ammunition are currently secured and undergoing further investigation. Meanwhile, security operations have been intensified across the area to prevent further criminal activity and ensure continued safety for residents.
