Atwima Kwanwoma, Ashanti Region – Former Defense Minister and Member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma, Hon. Kofi Amankwah Manu, has underscored the crucial role of party unity in securing victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking during a community clean-up exercise organized by polling station executives in Aboabo Kesse, Hon. Manu encouraged party members to set aside differences and work towards a common goal.

“Our strength lies in unity. If we remain united and support whoever emerges as flagbearer after the January 31, 2026 primaries, victory in 2028 will be certain,” he stated.

Community Concerns Addressed

Hon. Manu also used the occasion to address safety concerns raised by residents about the highway passing through Aboabo Kesse. He pledged to engage relevant authorities to construct speed ramps and reduce pedestrian accidents in the area.

His commitment to addressing infrastructure issues was warmly received by community members, who expressed hope for swift action.

Call for Clean Campaign

The former Deputy Minister of Defense further disclosed his support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as NPP flagbearer but stressed the need for a clean and issue-based campaign ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.
