Techiman South NDC Youth Organizer aspirant vows to take party activities to all communities
Mr. Ibrahim Fuseini Beagrin, Techiman South YEA Director and current Other Youth Organizer of the NDC, has pledged to decentralize the party’s youth activities beyond Techiman Central by establishing youth wings in all zones if elected Youth Organizer. In an exclusive interview, he promised to strengthen the youth wing through better communication
Ibrahim Fuseini Beagrin, Techiman South Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Director and current Other Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), says he will radically expand the party’s youth footprint beyond Techiman Central if elected as the substantive Youth Organizer.
In an exclusive interview, he disclosed plans to decentralize the NDC’s youth activities and ensure every zone in the constituency is actively involved.
He revealed that he intends to establish strong youth wings in all zones within the constituency. These structures, he explained, will champion the party’s agenda and keep the youth actively engaged at the grassroots level.
He also plans to form a robust communication team and strengthen existing committees within the youth wing.
''One of the strategies I intend to implement when I become the Youth Organizer for Techiman South is to ensure that the party’s activities are not centered only in Techiman Central, but also involve the youth in the surrounding communities.
''I intend to form a strong communication team and strengthen the existing committees within the youth wing. I also plan to establish youth wings in all the zones within the constituency, and these groups will champion the party’s agenda in their respective communities. By doing so, we will keep the youth actively involved in the party’s activities."
Drawing from his experience in his current role, he admitted that mobilizing resources for youth activities outside Techiman Central has been a major challenge. He pledged to engage the party’s top hierarchy and well-to-do members to resolve the issue.
''Through the opportunity I have had to serve as the Other Youth Organizer for the constituency, I have realized that mobilizing resources for youth campaign activities outside Techiman Central has been a major challenge. Should I become the Youth Organizer.
''I will liaise with the top hierarchy of the party and other well-to-do individuals within the party to help address this challenge and ensure the smooth functioning of the youth wing.''
However, Ibrahim Beagrin expressed worry that some youth in the constituency felt disconnected from the party and did not vote for the NDC and its parliamentary candidate in the 2024 elections.
He promised to personally reach out to these disaffected youths, listen to their concerns, and resolve their grievances to foster unity.
''The ultimate goal of every political party is to win and exercise political power in order to shape government policies, laws, and institutions according to its ideology and vision.
''However, I strongly believe that there are some youth within the constituency who may feel disconnected from the party and, as a result, did not vote for the party and our parliamentary candidate during the 2024 elections.''
He continued, ''As a political party, we can only win power when we are united and approach elections with a united front. Therefore, if I am given the opportunity to serve as the party’s Youth Organizer, I will reach out to all such youth, listen to their concerns, and ensure that whatever issues they may have are resolved so that we can unite as a party and approach the next elections with one common purpose."
With his current positions as YEA Director and Other Youth Organizer, Ibrahim Fuseini Beagrin ambition is generating keen interest among party members, many of whom see his proposals as a timely push to rebuild and strengthen the NDC’s youth front in Techiman South ahead of the next general elections.
