Woman Brutally Attacked by Mob in Jos Over False Manhood Theft Allegation

A woman in Jos, Plateau State, is recovering in hospital after being viciously assaulted by a mob on Monday, July 21, 2025, following a false accusation of manhood theft. The incident, sparked by a drunk man’s claim that the woman caused his manhood to “disappear” after touching him, led to a violent attack that left the victim with multiple injuries and bruises.
Eyewitnesses reported that the accuser’s alarm incited a mob, which beat the woman with sticks, wood, and other objects. The situation nearly escalated to a fatal conclusion, with the mob preparing to set her ablaze, until individuals familiar with the victim intervened. Upon inspection, the accuser’s claim was debunked, as his manhood was found intact.
Mohammed Sallahuddeen Junior, accompanied by Amina Gamaliel, Benedicta Ayodele Bigwan, and Nanchin Arkibus Damap, visited the victim in the hospital, where she is receiving treatment. Sallahuddeen confirmed that the woman’s family intends to pursue legal action to ensure a thorough investigation and justice. “Bruised, beaten, weak, and fragile, we located the lady and took her for treatment. Her family is determined to see the truth prevail,” he stated.
