Court Adjourned Ruling On Case Between Ofori Atta and OSP
A human rights Court has adjourned ruling on a motion filed by former finance minister against office of the special prosecuter to June 18
A human rights Court has today adjourned it's ruling on a motion filed by former finance minister Ken Ofori Atta seeking to restrain the Office of the Special prosecuter (OSP) Ghana from declaring him wanted.
The motion was filed by the lawyers of the former finance minister against the decision of the OSP to declare him wanted which his legal team argued is unfair.
The former finance minister is also asking the Court to order the office of the special prosecuter to remove previous declarations from its social media platforms.
The office of the special prosecuter declared the former finance minister wanted and a fugitive of justice as he is out of the jurisdiction and failed to honour several invitations by the OSP.
But Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta described the decision by the OSP as unfair considering the fact that I he was out of Ghana on a medical reason.
The Court has now set June 18th 2025 to give a ruling on the motion filed by the legal team of Mr. Ken Ofori Atta
