EC To Re-run Elections In Selected Polling Stations In Ablekuma North
The electoral Commission is scheduled to rerun elections in 19 selected polling stations in the Ablekuma North constituency on Friday 11th July 2025.

The electoral commission has announced that, it will rerun elections in 19 selected polling stations in the Ablekuma North constituency on Friday 11th July 2025.
In a press release by the deputy chairman incharge of operation, Samuel Tetteh, the decision was arrived after a meeting with representatives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a meeting on Tuesday 1st July 2025.
According to the electoral commission, the NDC wanted the commission to rerun elections in the 37 outstanding polling stations and with the NPP indicating that, the commission must collate results in only 3 outstanding polling stations.
After deliberations, the electoral commission decided that, it will rerun elections in only 19 selected polling stations. The reason is that, even though, both agents of the NPP and NDC approved the results from the 19 polling stations, it was not validated by the presiding officer.
The Electoral Commission has therefore called on the Ghana Police Service to provide security to ensure a safe environment for the conduct of the elections
