Ghana National Fire Service Offers Reward For Information On Attacker Of Firefighter

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has announced a handsome reward for anyone who provides credible information leading to the arrest of a man who physically attacked one of its firefighters. The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage, occurred while the firefighter was performing his duties to safeguard lives and property.
In a post shared on their official Facebook page (@gnfsofficial), the GNFS condemned the attack and emphasized that such acts of violence against first responders are unacceptable. The service called on members of the public to assist in bringing the culprit to justice by providing any relevant information that could aid law enforcement agencies in identifying and apprehending him.
“The Ghana National Fire Service strongly condemns acts of violence against our personnel who risk their lives daily to protect citizens. We are offering a handsome reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the individual responsible,” the post stated.
Authorities have assured the public that all tips will be treated with strict confidentiality to protect informants. The GNFS also reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of its staff while carrying out emergency response duties across the country.
The service’s appeal highlights the importance of community cooperation in maintaining law and order, especially in situations involving the protection of first responders.
