Former independent presidential aspirant, Onipayede Osom Teye has hinted that the Chairperson for Electoral Commission, Madam Jean Mensah always flop in conducting by-elections eversince she assumed the office.
In an interview with the media after the Ablekuma North rerun, the outspoken former independent presidential aspirant expressed worries about how the EC Chairperson has disappointed Ghanaians.
Even though people may look at Ablekuma North rerun as a step in right direction, I personally thinks it was another flop" he stated.
He emphasized that from Ayawaso West Wogon where people used bicycle chains as stick to beat people up to Ablekuma North where a former minister was beaten to her nearly grave due to the the EC's inaccurate security plan, he (Onipayede) thinks the EC Chairperson is incompetent.
"From her first by-election where Men in uniform (Security personnels) beat a sitting MP (Sam George), to Ablekuma North where some unknown people beat up former MP (Hawa Kumson) and others clarifies her incompetency" he stated.
He later advised and called on the EC Chairperson to backup because there is another by-election waiting at Akwatia, which she will not be forgiven by Ghanaians when she fails.
