Kassim Alhassan and Augustina Adzadu Emerge Victorious in 2025 POSSA City Campus Elections
Kassim Alhassan and Augustina Adzadu have won the 2025 Political Science Students Association (POSSA) elections at the University of Ghana City Campus with 191 votes, representing 60.3%. Their opponents, Solomon Nuobelu Feru and Cliff Collins Manso Howard, secured 121 votes (37.7%) out of 317 total votes cast from 1,058 registered voters. The results were declared by Electoral Commissioner John Awontirim Azumah and Deputy John Boadi, with official representatives Padmore Yankey and Nyarko present during collation. The victory marks a new leadership era under the theme “A New Dawn for POSSA City Campus.
In a decisive victory that signals a new chapter for the Political Science Students Association (POSSA) at the University of Ghana City Campus, Kassim Alhassan and his running mate Augustina Adzadu have been declared winners of the 2025 executive elections.
Out of a total voter population of 1,058, a total of 317 votes were cast. Kassim Alhassan and Augustina Adzadu secured a commanding lead with 191 votes, representing 60.3% of the valid votes. Their opponents, Solomon Nuobelu Feru and his vice presidential candidate Cliff Collins Manso Howard, garnered 121 votes, representing 37.7%. The results were officially declared by the Electoral Commissioner, John Awontirim Azumah, and Deputy Commissioner John Boadi.
The collation process was transparently conducted and witnessed by representatives of both contesting teams. Padmore Yankey represented the winning team of Kassim and Augustina, while Nyarko stood in for the opposing candidates.
The campaign leading up to the election was marked by spirited debates, focused policies, and a strong call for reform and engagement. Kassim and Augustina’s platform emphasized accountability, academic advocacy, and student inclusiveness under the theme “A New Dawn for POSSA City Campus.”
