The President on Thursday evening spoke to the entire citizenry concerning the tragic death of 8 government officials at Obuasi
President John Dramani Mahama has delivered a profound national address following the tragic military helicopter crash that took the lives of eight high-ranking government officials and military personnel, namely Minister for Defence Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Muniru Mohammed, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and NDC Vice Chairman Samuel Sarpong.
The three crew members, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, were also killed in the crash.
In his address, the President called for unity, compassion, and a moment of national reflection, urging Ghanaians to set aside political differences and stand together in grief.
