Ministry of Health Clarifies Revocation of Anne Sansa Daly’s NHIA Board Appointment
The Ministry of Health denies reports of Anne Sansa Daly’s swearing-in to the NHIA Board, clarifying that her appointment was revoked before the official ceremony.

The Ministry of Health has issued a formal clarification regarding reports circulating online about the appointment and swearing-in of Ms. Anne Sansa Daly as a member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Board.
In a press release signed by Tony Goodman, the Ministry’s spokesperson, the Ministry categorically denied the allegations published by Graphic Online and presented a detailed timeline to set the record straight.
According to the statement, an initial appointment letter naming Ms. Daly as a board member was issued on May 19, 2025. However, this appointment was subsequently revoked through a follow-up letter dated May 23, 2025, and a replacement was duly nominated.
“It is important to clarify that Ms. Daly was not sworn in on the 27th of May 2025 during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Ministry of Health,” the statement emphasized.
The Ministry further assured the public of its commitment to transparency and due process in all public appointments and urged media outlets to verify information before publication to avoid misinformation.
This clarification comes amid heightened public interest in the composition of the NHIA Board, a key institution in Ghana’s healthcare system.
