Tinubu Offers Federal Jobs, ₦250,000 Cash Reward to 200 NYSC Honorees

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate employment of 200 outstanding National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members into the federal civil service, recognizing their exceptional contributions during the 2020–2023 service years.

The president also announced a cash reward of ₦250,000 for each honoree, along with a scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies at any Nigerian university.

Tinubu made the announcement on Tuesday, July 29, through the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, at the combined NYSC Presidential Honours Award Ceremony held in Abuja.

In a special gesture, the president directed that 10 physically challenged ex-corps members—who sustained various disabilities while serving—also be offered federal employment, affirming that their sacrifices would not be forgotten.

Praising the awardees for their “discipline, commitment, selflessness, teamwork, patriotism, and integrity,” Tinubu assured them that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation and the Federal Civil Service Commission would immediately begin their recruitment process.

The ceremony honored the best-performing corps members across the 2020 to 2023 service years, recognizing both male and female recipients for exemplary national service.
