The claimed attack on Joy FM journalist Latif Iddrisu has the Greater Accra Regional Police Command under inquiry.
During the arrest of Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), some people attacked the journalist on May 27, 2025.

Following the journalist's unfortunate scene report, the incident happened on the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) premises.
In a statement, the cops stated that they are reviewing available evidence for more actions.
