Ablekuma north rerun, matters arising : Ndc Communication Officer applauds Npp Leaders

The NDC Constituency Communication officer at South Dayi, Mr. Jonas Anyadi popularly known as (Abor) has applauded and commended the leadership of Npp for highlighting the implications of absolute majority on potential constitutional changes. 

A statement signed by the communicator on 14th July 2025, he was specific about the statement made by the spokesperson for Dr. Bawumiah, Miracle Aboagye prio to the rerun.

ABLEKUMA NORTH ELECTION RERUN: MATTERS ARISING

On Friday, July 11, 2025 in the morning at Ablekuma North, NPP communicator Dennis Miracle Aboagye, the spokesperson for Dr. Bawumia, uttered.

 "Today is not about Ablekuma North, it's about halting a possible parliamentary dictatorship by one party. If the people of Ablekuma do not halt this, what's going to happen is that, the NDC party and as the government in parliament is going to have an absolute two-thirds majority which gives them confidence to temper with the 1992 constitution and play ball and chest with it".

So he appealed to constituents to reject Hon. Ewurabena Aubyn in favor of NPP's Nana Akua Afriyie.

 He also suggested an NDC win would grant them a two-thirds parliamentary majority, potentially enabling constitutional amendments for a third term for former President John Dramani Mahama.

 Ironically, the NDC secured the two-thirds majority with Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn's win, Perhaps Mr. Aboagye might reconsider his stance. 

We are grateful to NPP leaders for highlighting the implications of a two-thirds majority on potential constitutional changes. The green light is signalled.
