FG Hosts Lavish Dinner to Honour Super Falcons’ Historic 10th WAFCON Victory

The Federal Government on Monday night hosted a grand Presidential dinner at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja to celebrate the Super Falcons for their record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.

The star-studded event featured performances by top Nigerian artists including Flavour, Teni, Timi Dakolo, and Fido, who thrilled the continental champions with electrifying music.

Earlier in the day, President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu welcomed the team at the Presidential Banquet Hall in honour of their historic achievement.

During the ceremony, President Tinubu conferred national honours on the players and announced a reward of $100,000 each, as well as three-bedroom apartments at the Renewed Hope Estate. Members of the technical crew were also awarded $50,000 each.

The Super Falcons clinched their 10th WAFCON title with a dramatic 3–2 comeback victory over hosts Morocco in the final held at the Stade Olympique in Rabat on Saturday, July 26.
