In a recent interview with Channels TV, Obi claimed that true leadership is about showing empathy. He also said President Tinubu has failed to display compassion for Nigerians since taking office. Obi pointed to the Yelwata killings and accused Tinubu of not being empathetic enough by not visiting the area after the tragedy.
On July 7, Bwala discussed this on Channels TV. He mentioned that social critic Very Dark Man, who visited Yelwata and shared graphic footage, showed more empathy than Obi. Obi, Bwala said, is criticizing Tinubu for not going to the community, but someone who actually visited and showed the reality is more compassionate.
