Seized Water Pumps From Galamseyers To Be Used For Irrigation
The Ministry of Agriculture has disclosed that, water pumps seized from illegal miners in various sites will be repurpose and giving to farmers to aid in irrigation.

The Ministry of Agriculture has disclosed that, water pumps seized from illegal miners in various illegal mining sites will be repurpose and be giving to farmers in the Country to boost irrigation.
According to the Agric ministry, hunders of the seized water pumps will soon be distributed to farmers across the country which will be used to boost irrigation farming, especially during the dry season, where it is difficult for most farmers to go to farming due to luck of rains.
This initiative will be a good one for farmers, considering the fact that, majority of farmers in Ghana depend on the rain for farming and irrigation will boost food productivity and income of farmers.
The Anti-illegal Mining Task Force for some time now have been visiting several illegal mining areas where the water pumps are seized and several other equipments destroyed.
