Tory Lanez Held in Contempt in Megan Thee Stallion’s Legal Case, Court Orders Fees and Supervised Deposition
Tory Lanez held in contempt in Megan Thee Stallion case; court orders fees, supervised deposition amid non-compliance with April court deadlines.

In the ongoing legal battle involving rapper Megan Pete, professionally known as #MeganTheeStallion, the court has issued a contempt ruling against fellow artist Daystar Peterson, known publicly as #ToryLanez.
On April 17, 2025, the court granted an unopposed motion filed by Pete just a day earlier, citing Peterson’s failure to comply with court-ordered deadlines. According to records, Peterson was served on April 18 and required to respond by April 30, yet failed to do so.
As a result, the court ruled Peterson in contempt of court and ordered him to pay Megan Pete’s attorney’s fees associated with deposition volume 1. Additionally, the court has mandated that the continuation of Peterson’s deposition be conducted under the direct supervision of Magistrate Judge Lisette M. Reid.
This decision marks a serious escalation in the case, emphasizing the court’s stance on accountability and procedural compliance, especially in high-profile legal proceedings.
