Kidnappers Neutralised, Ransom and Weapons Recovered in Joint Security Operation in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State

A coordinated security operation in Edo-Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, has led to a major breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping. The successful raid, which involved personnel from the Nigerian Army’s 63 Brigade Asaba, the Divisional Police Headquarters Ogwashi-Uku, the Anti-Kidnapping Squad Asaba, and the Edo-Ogwashi Security outfit, resulted in the recovery of millions of naira in ransom money, one AK-47 rifle, three loaded magazines, and 16 live rounds of ammunition.
The operation was disclosed by @Harrison_Gwamnishu, who praised the efforts of all security agencies involved. According to him, two suspected kidnappers were neutralised during the operation, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
The suspects were reportedly behind the abduction of two female students of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, near the Azagba-Ogwashi area, as well as the kidnapping and shooting of an estate supervisor in Ubulu-Okiti.
Harrison credited the success of the mission to a tracking device provided by the Delta State Government House in Asaba. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and timely intelligence sharing to combat criminal activity.
He expressed his appreciation to the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his consistent support in equipping security teams. Special thanks were also extended to the commanders of 63 Brigade Garrison and military officers in charge of Oshimili North and Aniocha South, as well as the DPO Ogwashi-Uku for their swift action.
He concluded by commending his team, especially Intel officer Ejemizu Chidozie Peters, for their dedication and readiness to act at all times.
