12 Suspected Kidnappers, Informant Arrested in Joint Security Raid Across Kogi and Kwara

In a major breakthrough against organized crime, security forces have arrested 12 suspected kidnappers and an alleged informant during a coordinated operation across Kogi and Kwara States.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
Fanwo revealed that the arrests followed a series of well-planned raids carried out by the Hybrid Force under the Office of the National Security Adviser, in collaboration with the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Egbe.
The successful operation dealt a significant blow to kidnapping gangs that have terrorized communities in the North-Central region. Authorities described the crackdown as a decisive step toward dismantling the syndicates behind a wave of abductions.
The development has drawn widespread praise from the public, with many describing it as a hopeful sign in the ongoing fight against kidnapping and organized crime. Investigations are ongoing.
