41ST NATIONAL FARMERS' DAY CELEBRATION IN ASUNAFO NORTH MUNICIPALITY
On Friday, 5th December, 2025, the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly, led by Hon. Joseph Akparibo, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), in collaboration with key stakeholders, successfully celebrated the 41st National Farmers’ Day at Kasapin.
A total of twenty-seven farmers, sixteen men and eleven women, were officially recognised for their outstanding contributions to agriculture within the municipality.
Additionally, Mim Senior High School farms and Mim Akwaboah Basic School farm received awards for their remarkable efforts. Other farmers and individuals who showcased farm produce at the exhibition also received recognition.
Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Maamah from Mfema, who has been farming for forty years was adjudged the Overall Best Farmer for 2025. Nana Adu Tutu Owusu from Mim was also honored as the Municipal Best Cocoa Farmer.

1. Tricycle (aboboyaa) for the Overall Best Farmer

4. Knapsack sprayers
5. Motorised spraying machines
6. Machetes/cutlasses
7. Clothing
8. Pesticides/Weedicides/Insecticides
9. Fertilizers (ten bags each for all twenty-seven awardees)
10. Protective farming boots
In his remarks, the MCE expressed profound appreciation to all farmers for their invaluable contributions to national development. He reaffirmed government’s unwavering commitment to supporting farmers across the country.
