Implement Our Salaries And Conditions Of Service Or We Strike : CLOGSAG To Government
The Civil And Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has served notice of embarking on a nationwide strike should government fail to implement it's salaries and conditions of service.

It appears labour agitations in the Country will not go any time soon, even after nurses and midwives suspended their two weeks old strike.
The latest to declare their intention of embarking on a nationwide industrial strike is the Civil And Local Government Staff Association (CLOGSAG). In a press release signed by the Executive secretary of CLOGSAG, Issac Bampoe Addo, the association have given the government a notice to go on a nationwide strike.
According to the press release, pressure continue to mount on the association to get the government to implement the unique salary structure and other conditions of service for its staff.
At an emergency National Executive Council meeting held on Thursday, 12th June 2025, NEC has decided that, Minister for labour, jobs and employment should see the effective implementation of the salary structure and other conditions of service for CLOGSAG members.
The National Executive Council meeting also resolved that, within two weeks from 16th June 2025 to 30th June 2025 the association expects a positive response from the government. Failure to initiate the implementation of this, CLOGSAG would have no option than to embark on a nationwide industrial strike.
The National Executive Council of CLOGSAG further stated that, it has various correspondence on 20th December 2024 and 6th May 2025 on the implementation of the new salary structure and other conditions of service for CLOGSAG members and various Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the government on the same subject.
