The announcement, made in a statement signed by the Minister of Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, listed four Members of Parliament tapped for key ministries.

The nominees include Hon. Dorcas Toffey for the Ministry of Transport, Hon. James G. Quayson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Hon. Mohammed Adam Sukparu for the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations. Also named is Hon. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, nominated as Deputy Minister for Health.

According to the statement, the nominations are in line with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of Ghana’s Constitution, which require the President to submit ministerial appointments to Parliament through the Speaker for prior approval.

This final wave of appointments is expected to further strengthen the Mahama-led administration’s efforts to implement its agenda across critical sectors of the economy. All four nominees are sitting Members of Parliament with experience and commitment to public service.
