Missiles Fired from Iran Trigger Air Raid Sirens in Israel; Explosions Reported in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem

Tel Aviv, Israel — Israel’s military has reported that two missiles were launched from Iran early Sunday morning, prompting air raid sirens across several parts of the country, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Explosions Rock Jerusalem as Sirens Wail

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the nation’s missile detection systems had identified launches from Iran. Explosions were heard in Jerusalem, and sirens were activated in central Israel, urging civilians to seek immediate shelter.

"Recently, sirens went off across several parts of Israel after missiles were spotted coming from Iran toward the country," the military said in an official statement.

Israeli Air Force Intercepts Threats

The Israeli Air Force quickly responded, activating interception protocols aimed at neutralizing the incoming projectiles. The military emphasized that "threatening missiles will be intercepted and destroyed where needed."

Second Missile Wave Feared

About 30 minutes after the initial launch, the IDF issued a second warning of a possible new wave of missile attacks. The nationwide alert system remained active until approximately 8:10 a.m. local time, when it was officially lifted.

Rising Tensions in the Region

The incident marks yet another flashpoint in escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel, as both countries remain locked in a cycle of retaliation and heightened military alert. No casualties have yet been confirmed, but defense officials are continuing to monitor the situation.
