Trump Responds to Iranian Strike on U.S. Base in Qatar: “Very Weak Response, No Casualties”
President Trump confirms 14 missiles fired at Al Udeid Air Base, 13 intercepted and 1 deemed nonthreatening

The U.S. President, Donald Trump has issued a public response after Iran launched a retaliatory missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar — a critical hub for American military operations in the region.
Taking to his Truth Social platform on Monday, Trump downplayed the impact of the strike, describing Iran’s move as “a very weak response” to the U.S.'s earlier assault on Iranian nuclear facilities.
“There have been 14 missiles fired — 13 were knocked down, and 1 was ‘set free,’ because it was headed in a nonthreatening direction,” Trump stated. “I am pleased to report that NO Americans were harmed, and hardly any damage was done.”
He further added, “Most importantly, they've gotten it all out of their 'system,' and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE. I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost.”
In an effort to strike a more conciliatory tone, Trump called on Iran and Israel to move toward peace, writing, “Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same.”
In a follow-up post, the former president also extended gratitude to the Emir of Qatar for his diplomatic efforts. “Regarding the attack today at the American Base in Qatar, I am pleased to report that, in addition to no Americans being killed or wounded, very importantly, there have also been no Qataris killed or wounded,” he noted.
As this is a developing story, more updates are expected to follow as international observers monitor responses from Tehran, Washington, and regional allies.
