The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the release of the 2025 Senior High School (SHS) placement results, marking a pivotal moment for thousands of students across the country.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the release of the 2025 Senior High School (SHS) placement results, marking a pivotal moment for thousands of students across the country. According to a circular signed by Acting Deputy Director-General Dr. Munawaru Isshaque, all placed students are expected to report to their respective schools starting October 18, 2025.
The placements were generated through the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), a merit-based system designed to ensure fairness and transparency in school admissions. The GES emphasized that no school is permitted to admit students outside the official CSSPS list without prior written approval. Any unauthorized admissions will attract administrative sanctions.
Heads of schools have been instructed to conduct registration in line with GES guidelines, ensuring a smooth and orderly process for incoming students. Regional and District Directors of Education are also tasked with monitoring the admission process to uphold integrity and compliance.
In the circular addressed to all Regional Directors of Education, GES stated: “Admission of students should strictly follow the placement list generated by the CSSPS Secretariat. Any infraction, including unauthorized admissions, will attract the necessary administrative sanctions.”
The directive urges regional directors to promptly communicate the information to district directors and heads of schools within their jurisdictions.
Students and parents can check placement details via the official CSSPS portal provided by GES. The service is expected to handle a high volume of traffic as families rush to confirm school assignments.
With the reporting date set for October 18, students are advised to prepare necessary documentation and supplies ahead of time. Schools are expected to begin orientation and registration immediately upon reopening.
This announcement marks the beginning of a new academic journey for many young Ghanaians, and GES is counting on full cooperation from stakeholders to ensure a transparent and successful admission process.
